    05 intl paystar, cummins ism
When I start it in the mornings it "burps" every few seconds and puffs a little white smoke when it happens. Raised the rpm's up to about 1200 and it still does it. Then after it warms up it quits.
Just wondering what it may be?

where does the white smoke come out???? air filter or exhaust pipe.

that'll tell you which valves are either loose or burnt up.

i had an isx, where you could actually see fuel spitting out the filters. problem went away with an overhead.

Is the engine brake coming on? A western star on the farm with a cummins would burp the engine brake till it warmed up if the switch was on. Quit that job before they fixed it.....
