Maxxforce 13 after treatment system

    As to the first truck, the EGR Valve gets replaced if it fails an actuator test, not related to any clogging. The LT cooler gets replaced if it pops a low flow code, accompanied by a check engine light. The high temp cooler gets replaced in the event of coolant loss. Are you going through any coolant? That would be a good indicator.

    The wiring problem sounds like an issue many Prostars had where the ECM bracket cuts into the engine harness. It will cause intermittent issues, but I havent seen one of those problems in a while. Also, leaking supply tubes to the EGR valve can damage the engine wiring, causing a check engine light.

    Aftertreatment issues can be caused by issues upstream. Boost or fueling issues can both cause regen concerns. Are you experiencing a general loss of power?

    Both Egr coolers have just been replaced. They tried to return my truck last week. They again cleaned the DOC and did a forced regen. the code once again came up as incomplete regen. I said no way, thats a false code again. I stressed that I thought water was getting in the wiring and that we know the wiring is light weight. Plus the fact that exhaust stack had been taken apart at least 3 times. I had tracked the fact that after a heavy rain within 12 hours the check engine light would come on. They looked at it again. Found bad wiring on the wiring harness on the exhaust stack and found a bad sensor. They replaced that one and cleaned the other two. False information was being sent to the EMC. I got it back Friday and I hope that is going to work until the next part fails.

    My 2012 DT466 goes into a derate mode after it has been driven a few miles and parked for a few minutes. Even tried locking in a high idle to prevent that. No luck. It leaves me stranded till the next day. Then it runs fine for a while but leaves me stranded most every trip. Service center cant find any codes that would cause this. Charged me $600 and did nothing.

    I recommend an actual dealer with proper software.
