My company has many day cabs in the fleet. 2010-2012. My truck alone has had the DOC replaced, both egr coolers, the front one twice, filter cleaned, dozer clogged, the check engine light came on after a force regen at the dealership 590 miles later. I yelled "########" yesterday after the code came up as another incomplete regen. Told them that was a false code and I wanted a filter % reading to prove it was false. I didn't even get a level 1 warning for those 590 miles after the force regen. They wouldn't do it, but, decided to start a case file for International. The plan is for me to come down and have a force regen once a week and drive it even if the check engine light comes on. I've been asking for the egr valve to be check to see how clogged it is. I know unless it's 90% clogged they won't replace it. I told them I've noticed after it rains within 24 hours the check engine light comes on, so where is the water getting in the wiring? The problem with this truck sometimes the level 1 warning comes on, but, it doesn't go to level 2 so a parked regen can be done. Mine is a 2010 and the issues started around 230k miles. Any suggestions?
2 of the other trucks 2011. Have to do a parked regen at around every 300 miles. I don't know how many parts have been replaced on those units. Any suggetions on those two? Thanks

We are a very large company and are in talks with International to buy all of these trucks back. Last month in one area of the country we had 35 out of 50 of them down because of the after treatment system. Most of the drivers are getting worried about trying to find a safe place to do a park regen in the winter months during snow storms. A few trucks give no Level 1 warnings and go straight to level 2.

I got vin# how can I see if the technical service bulletins have been done?

A dealer can check the ECM and see if updates were done......
The short version is that engine is crap and will never be right. Get rid of the trucks..... -
Yes, I know the short version LOL I want to check the vins. Not sure if I trust the dealer.

I have seen that a lot of lawsuits have been filed against Navistar for these issues.
