    Easiest way to check for a cooler failure is to remove the intake pipe from the air to air right before the egr mixing pipe and see if the inside is all wet and sludgy from the coolant.

    09/09/14- the EGR cooler is bad. It won't get fixed until tomorrow so I'm staying in a hotel in Tifton GA

    My ear went out today also. Bought 2011 international on monday, so 2 days ago from AMERIQUEST. Didnt get any warranty, Don't know if AMERIQUEST gonna pay ( cummins service quoted me for 4 grand). Any suggestions?

    Geez, it seems like this is a common problem. Next time I'm going to save 40% down and get a new truck. These dealers get these trucks from the fleets who don't care to fix their trucks up or even to give out the maintanence records before they sale the trucks. Fleets know major stuff is wrong with the truck and just pass the problem down. If I'm going to put 10,000 for a used truck and less than a month later I'm paying 4,000 to replace a part, I might as well put that towards a new truck. SMDH. If a dealer offers no warranty, run away as fast as possible.
