i just bought a 1995 international 4800. it was owned by an electric company so most everything seems to be in order.

i was driving along and water started hissing out onto the floor on passenger side. it isnt coolant, what else could it be? it was ambient temperature. i'm thinking it would be either AC condensation (AC was on at the time) or condensation from the air system. i just dont know why it would come out from there, i'm sure it isnt normal.

also some of the interior panels are shot on this truck and i'd like to replace them at some point, i looked a bit on the internet but couldnt find any. any ideas?

    Check three things:

    - Plugged up condensation drain hose HVAC housing

    - Loose or missing access panels on HVAC housing

    - Missing or worn gaskets on HVAC housing

Should be pretty simple to diagnose. Just run your a/c for enough time to allow condensation to build up and go in there with a flashlight. The drain hose should be visible from the engine compartment. Usually on firewall very close to the HVAC housing. GL!

Yep, sounds like water from the a/c. The heater box is kind of shaped like a drain tray to channel condensation to drain out the firewall. Make sure it isn't broken or plugged.
