Put the new type gear/reduction starter on so it will sound like a mopar when it starts an last forever.

Which part of the starter keeps failing? Solenoid, gear, brushes, rotor?? When you put on the new starter is it quick turning over or still somewhat sluggish. Does the motor start immediately or does it take a long time cranking before it fires up? Check your starter cables (ground and positve) for corrosion both inside and out. They should be flexible. If the are hard to bend or "crunch" when bending then get new ones. Starters like full volts and amperage when starting. A corroded cable will increase resistance in the electric motor. Resistance=heat. Heat very bad
Heavyd Thanks this. -

Like the above mentioned, if a starter motor is starving for amps it will burn out internally. Low voltage and amps will cause more arching internally. Check for voltage drops and cable integrity between the batteries to starter and starter to ground to the frame, to the batteries and frame to the batteries.
