Pop off the horn button, remove the shaft nut, (1 1/4" socket) Then you need a basic puller. The shaft is tapered where the steering wheel slides onto it. You will never be able to just pop it off by hand. The puller holes should be 5/16 fine threaded holes for your puller bolts.

Go to a Autozone, advance auto parts or whatever is close to you & you can rent a steering wheel puller kit for about $20.00. Pop the wheel off, install new one, return kit to parts store & get your money back.

They can be really tight, too tight actually. I use a 2 foot snap-on 1/2" ratchet on my puller to pop them off.

    truckingboss28 Thanks this.

Once you have a decent amount of pressure on the puller, bump the wheel with a hammer around where it sits in the shaft. That sound break it free.
