I have a 2015 prostar with a similar issue. Leaving a fuel stop I put truck in gear (automatic) started pulling away and the tree starts lighting up. 1. Electrical failure 2. Abs module 3. Traction control light flashing 3. Alarm beeping 4. No acceleration power. Looked down and truck was in neutral (flashing) yet truck was still moving barely. I pulled over removed the abs fuse waited 10 minutes put it back in and started up with no issues. But it's not left my mind that there must be an issue. I'd hate to have the ole girl burn down on the road

Hello I was having the same issue as you.was driving me nuts.i found on the battery terminal their is one red cable that branches off your battery this cable runs up to the front of your truck and feeds the ecm.if you remove this cable from your battery you will find a small plastic box under it.this is a ignition protection device take this off and throw it as far as you can.my truck would shut down while driving engine fan would come on.this part when it fails shuts your ecm off losses power.hope this helps it fixed my problem

Hello Guys. I just bought 2009 International pro star premium eagle . After getting 10 new tire . I got loud beeping sound, traction sign , Abs light, Electrical fault sign and All gages went down. But truck was still running and also it was OK with idling. I took it to International dealership. After looking at estimate I don't know what to do . Any advise? 2015-12-22 21.17.37.png I am also going upload estimate with problems. Thanks

This is why repair shops get a bad reputation. An ABS sensor cost me 60-$90. If I charged 3 hours labor to replace it, I would be ripping you off. I am pissed and embarrassed and it is not even my shop or truck! I am too pissed to even rant...........

Yep, I learnt my lesson. I do not comment about prices or labour times at all!

Is there anything else you like to add on regarding the issue? Forget the price and labour .

So did you have anything fixed yet? I do not believe changing tires will cause any of that. If you just bought this unit I think you should talk to whoever sold it to you and see if they will do anything about it. Body controllers rarely go bad by themselves. Low voltage cranking and boosting is what usually hurts them. Also the wiring is tied too tightly which pulls and stresses the connectors and therefore can break the soldering on the motherboard inside. The body controller is located to the left of the clutch pedal, near the floor, behind the small kick panel bolted to the inside of cab. The kick panel also puts pressure on the wiring and connectors. I would remove this panel and wiggle the wiring to see if the problems change or go away. That little panel, I never reinstall that long skinny bolt that screws into the firewall that takes a 10mm socket. I find it squeezes the wiring too much which can lead to problems. Leaving that bolt out will not hurt anything and allows more room for the wiring behind it.
