    Hello,
Any advice or help is truly appreciated.

I have a 2009 International Pro Star, on July 14,2014 my truck started beeping, loosing power the fuel pedal went inactive dash saying ABS module/worn engine then shut off saying electrical fault. I towed it to the shop and they said it was the ECM we replaced it, took it out the show not even a mile out the show same thing happens it was acting the same was before the new ECM was put in. The shop then replaced the harness completely. Took it out the show again same thing. Take it back in and they replaced the starter. Again same thing. We eventually took it from them assuming at this point they didn't know what they were doing. My husband changed the body control module and took it to the dealer to get the computer re programmed. NOTHING. Then I got the Cadillac converter cleaned. Nothing again. It's 10/06/2014 and I can not still use this truck please help and advise???? Has anyone else ever had this problem.

    Benito Thanks this.

All those modules should be logging fault codes. Sounds like it could be just ignition power is being lost to 1/2 the truck. Could you find out if there were any fault codes being logged?

I don't think I can get any fault codes. When he checked there were so may codes that's saying SPN and FMI #'s there were so many of them. It does also say trac control, with the ABS. Sometimes electrical fault will come on. Can one of the sensors to the tract control cause the problem? You can drive the truck sometimes mid day with no problem then it starts, then other days it will just start in the morning.

If the ABS/traction control warning lights are coming on during the no start this means the engine ECM is not booting up at key on. This would be loss of ignition power to the engine and/or main battery power.

So what should I do? Do you think its coming from one of the wires in the battery?

Maybe your ignition switch if the throttle dies? If it happens while driving, pull it out of gear and see if the engine stalls. You need to find out if the engine is getting fuel. If you're not getting fuel and you pull out of gear, the engine will stop. Just keep in mind you lose your power steering when you do this. You need to get to the bottom of this.

You can also find out what hot wires are on the ECM. The ISX has so many wires and harnesses, you may need to study what goes where.

I would check the cables at the mega fuses at the fire wall near the air filter. There is a standard fuse holder hiding in behind there that is power for the engine. Remove the fuse and check it for loose pins or corrosion. Checking all your battery cables and ground connections would be a good idea too! Remove the fuse panel cover in front of the passenger seat. Read the panel diagram and look for fuses and relays related to ignition, engine and abs. Wiggle them gently with the key on and see if anything happens. We see the terminals that fuses or relays plug into get so loose that they barely make any electrical contact and cause intermittent issues like this.

We just noticed that the clutch fan stays on and never turns off. Can this be the reason with the electrical problems?

The fan clutch is controlled by the engine ECM. I would say it is a separate issue or another symptom.
