9700 cabover brake light switch located]

    i have a 1996 9700 cabover and cannot find the brake light switch looked under floorboard in dash and under truck . Dealer and local mechanics have no clue either. Please help tired of flipping a toggle switch.

    I'd think if you can't find the original switch that you could easily buy a switch at Radio Shack and find a way to fit it in. You'd want a plunger-type switch that is pushed into the 'off' position when the brake pedal is all the way up-thus soon as you depress the brake pedal the lights go on.

    The real one has got to be around there somewhere, though......did you try tracing the wire backwards back from the brake lights or pigtail connector?

    Look on the air brake foot valve. It might be there. It's below the pedal you push to apply the brakes.

    Finnaly found it it was between air vent and firewall behind the oil press or line thanks for the help and info
