2007s and 2010 are different, but sorta the same. Basically with either model I remove that one bolt at very bottom of the low pressure turbo and then depending on which model I unbolt the high pressure from the low pressure turbo by either those 5 bolts, or five nuts with studs. You have to take the studs right out, (07 model). Then the low pressure turbo can separate from the high pressure buy pulling it back a bit then you can take off the high pressure. The 2010 model has to have the lower CAC removed in order to pull back the lp turbo. Sucks, but it is better that pulling the complete assembly.

You can change just the hp cartridge too, if that is all that is wrong, that isn't too bad. None of rear sections have to be messed with. Which model are you working on?

It's a 10. That #### lower nut/stud is right up against the lower housing! Even separating after the 5 bolts were removed, still was not enough to get the lower past the manifold stud. Removing CAC is the puzzle piece I was missing. Feel sorry for you IHC techs. This whole engine is the stupidest design I have ever seen, let alone the performance/reliability issues! I will say a prayer for you! Thanks.

LOL, I know eh? All you can do is laugh! Yah, I pull down the lower CAC, then take off the compressor housing of LP turbo to clear that bottom stud. The sad thing is, when you look at it, a small change here or there with the design to make bolts accessible and it wouldn't be that bad at all. Too bad!
