Have been looking at both for awhile.
I have an 06 387. Mil miles. Did mains, rods, balancer. Has never left me parked on the side of the rd and drives perfectly straight down the rd. paid for but would like new

2015 579 paccar motor. Don't know if I like the paccar and they haven't hit the million mile mark yet so reliable?
The 2015 lonestar has the cummins motor
Both 13 spd. 500-525 HP and similar rear ends

I know petes hold valu but it's probably the same ratio Vs the cost of new. Petes are more out of the gate, I do think selling a pete is easier than the Lonestar

looking for what MPG you have heard on either and creature comforts
    Any input?

or just keep running mine until the wheels fall off?

I would just keep running what you got and make that truck payment into your personal savings account. My father always said "The nicest truck a guy can have is one that is paid for".

A good friend of mine who had been a diesel mechanic all his life, now he is about 63 and still working at a dealer. He told me just while back that the Cummins is the least trouble free engines and the paccar has the most problems.

And he has always been a trustworthy mechanic. Thought I would throw this in, be sure and check with others.
