Went "Why are you idleing? You've been parked since 2am, and it's now 11am." reply"Uh, it's 10deg f. here." The responce in effect was that he must run his truck long enough to raise the temp, then shut it off; and repeat for 10 hours. When the subject of APU'S came up, he explained tht the company had them for TEAMS!!! But could'nt afford the add-ons for the rest of thier fleet, due to remodeling cost for the tacoma terminal.

Teams drive !!!....a lot !!! more than solos (which means the truck is running anyway and can run the heater) and a company that puts APUs in a truck that runs almost constantly (in theory) and doesn't put them in a solo truck (that shuts down) is an idiot !!!! ...that is a stupid decision on someones part at that company.

curious about GTI

I was reading this thread and am really curious to know who GTI is. I can't seem to find a reference to it. The posts here have made me want more info about the company.

Hiya Ranchoredneck... I am thinking that I may have met you when my husband and I stopped by Mesalands for a visit a while back while K & J were there. Enjoy your Tacoma Time! We will probably be up there next week or possibly by this weekend, maybe we might run into you up there.
Take Care and good luck.. you made a good decision IMHO!
