Thought I would start this new thread to talk about my experience starting with JB Hunt on the dedicated acount for Home Depot RDC out of Monroe, OH. Started orientation today out of the Louisville terminal. Started out with 26 in the class but as the day went along, we lost some. Today was the boring part (in my mind). Started out doing paperwork, then done road test along with a backing test. Then spent all afternoon doing physicals and drug screen (both urine and hair folicle). Don't know what surprises tomorrow will bring. Will try to keep everyone informed on how this account goes as they are seeking at least 3-5 more drivers just for this.

I was on the Depot DCS out of columbia , mo I was there for almost 9 years, The freight got slow at depot and I wanted to work more so I can pay bills. It is a fun account and you will like it.
@joker that sucks, you staying with JB?outlawtrucker1271 Thanks this. -
Well day 2 of orientation is in the books. Covered tight quarters backing and safe ways of entering and exiting cab, raising hood and other safety function around the outside of the truck. After that was sitting and watching videos, going over the driver's manual and a few other things. Hopefully will get out of orientation on Thursday sometime. Got to speak with the account manager at the RDC today to be filled in on exactly what the drivers do on that account. Am really excited to get started.
