A buddy said that a JB driver pulling intermodel containers out of a yard near or in Turtle Creek PA told him (Hear Say) something about making or clearing 900 a week doing so. I was only listening slightly-so i dont know all the facts (or hear say) but will ask him again.
The buddy works or is an Owner operator leased to another container company right near there and i know they dont pull the containers very far.

    ewill71 Thanks this.

Was that number meant to be for me Pickles -- and yes i was thinking the same thing that your phone would get "Blown up" posting a phone # like that. LOL Maybe it is because it looks suspicious Pickles LOL - pretty face in avatar with with phone # on a site with (i dont know how many members) 1000's of members that are mostly male truck drivers.
Are you a recruiter ? Come clean, if you are a driver try PM ing me --i do not want my phone # in someones hands i am not familiar with if you are a driver -no problem, who wouldn't want to talk with you.:biggrin_25525:

J B Hunt got their abuse from growing in the 80's. They took a lot of freight from owner operators. But you have to blame Ronald Regan. He did deregulation. This caused the companies to offer lower pay, and without it. No company would have grown. We grew because of it and hated it because the pay dropped. Now J B Hunt offers some of the highest pay in the industry. Starting pay is 46 cents a mile. While other companies are charging only 38 cents. They also have the most trucks, the most freight and the best lanes. Benefits after 90 days are pretty good as well. I have been driving since 1980 and have seen a lot. I would go to J B Hunt in a min. The ribbing who cares any more. When your have to be out on the road you might as well get paid for it. It sucks out here but pays the bills. Why not work for a company that gives you paid time off, 46 cents a mile, enough freight to keep you going, and benefits that rival others. This sounds good to me. So the next time your laughing at a J B Hunt driver. He or she is laughing too, all the way to the bank. Just think, if deregulation never happened you would be driving for a hand full of companies, with no choices. Now you have a million choices. Why not work for the best !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is that cherry or strawberry flavor aid because as cheap as hunt is i,m sure they are not handing out the real kool aid for ya as their dsc division gobbles up every decent private fleet that used to exist

I have to ask ... what part of his post do you find untrue? A friend's dad works for JB Hunt in Pennsylvania, regional dedicated runs, home three days a week (weekends), making 62K, full benefits, etc. and they need MORE drivers. If I were a van driver and not a tanker driver I'd definitely give this a shot.

I also know that when you come on with the company if you had any prior events like vacation etc. they make sure that you can still be off for that time. I think that says alot in itself.
