Help ! need info on Jb Hunt Intermodel out of Harrisburg, good, bad, what are the newbies making ? Recruiter said a $1000.00 a week "take home" is very realistic, is NYC or the boroughs required. thanks

I never worked at jb hunt. Me and dad make good money on frac sand (natural gas well use). avg $6000 a week, take home. He wants me to put me on dry van and reefer hauling. I'm fine with it because I love travel country side.

I know this thread is old ..but heres what u make w jb intermodel as company driver in pa. 5 days on 2 days off and home everyday. 55-65k per year gross. You can expect to bring home between 7-900 after all taxes n deductions. Jb has great benefits as well n very affordable.

Im with jb dcs in ny but from time to time they send me over to the jb intermodel accounts in pa to help when they need capacity and its mostly just goin to the rail yards n gettin in very quickly btw and pickin up your loaded chassis/box and u will pretty much bring it to a warehouse and drop n hook then back to rail yard and repeat process. Ive never experience any live unloads or touch freight..if it does happen its maybe once in a while but for the most part ur just movin boxes around from rail to warehouses. Very easy work and if you choose to work 6 days or max out ur 14 every day for 5 days u can def hit 70-75k n bring home $1000 plus cuz there is always unlimited work w jb on these accounts. Just depends how much u wanna work. Im not gonna lie im very happy with them n if your lookin for a local job i highly reccomend there dcs or intermodel jobs. Stable job n company, home everyday n great pay n benefits..n u will make alot friends n meet good people at the yard n dispatch office. If u want to work 45-55hrs a week u will def hit 55-65k if u do 60-70hrs a week u will do 65-75k per year hands down. Just my 2 cents on it..i just hit 4 years with them...never gonna leave unless i can get my own truck n become an owner op. Good luck n any other questions feel free to ask i know alot about ny nj ct n pa accounts dcs n intermodel n about jb itself

Jb uses pc miler. I get paid about 98 miles per every 100 miles i drive. Its hardly noticeable but does add up but thats just the industry we never get fully paid by what we earned or our time! We get paid 98% for 100% of our work..hmmm strange concept!!

Local intermodal out of Harrisburg is every mile driven you get paid for. If you have to go way out of route because of an accident, weather, or whatever reason if it's just to get some extra mileage pay you for it. Now if you have a load from H! going to Quaker in Carlisle and you go north on I-81 to I-80 all the way to the US15 exit and take that south all the way back towards Harrisburg getting on US322 east to I-81 south essentially doing a giant loop JB would pay you for that but you would be suspended if not terminated for doing something like that.

Im glad u chimed in cuz ur out of harrisburg and can give way better specifics than i can just as an occasional support driver...what i can say to others out there is jb hunt is not this giant monster company out to screw you like u see all over ttr forums. Everyone knows everyone by name and u interact with your management and dispatch everyday and are respected. They just gave us all new nice coats, hats, portable battery backups and this flashlight with a bunch of screwdriver attachments for driver appreciation while having week long bbq right in yard. No company is perfect but you know a good company when your with one...and to me jb is a good company for local jobs. Idk about otr
