When I say Tyson I'm talking farm road feeding chickens andpicking up live birds and taking to the kill plant. I bbeen doing it 8 months now. Home every day 1050-1200 week. 5 mills been taken over completely by big Jb hunt. The ##### Jb hunt will do for a Dcs account.

In your opinion, do you think that J.B. Hunt will eventually be granted the OTR runs to all 48 states, which are currently done by OTR truck drivers employed by Tyson Foods out of Springdale Arkansas? If so, I GENUINELY and TRULY hope that the truck drivers currently working for Tyson Foods are NOT unemployed as a result of any transitions.

Jb taking over a lot it seems.

My driver for corsicana mattress quit because he likes to smoke a little dope every now and then. Didn't want to deal with jb and the pay cut.

If Tyson Foods OTR truck drivers ended up going onto JB Hunt's payroll, would they REALLY have to take a cut in pay? JB Hunt would NEED the experience of the Tyson Foods truck drivers to get all the protein and frozen foods delivered in a proper and timely manner.

You will never be able to tell JB that, after all anybody with 3 months OTR can easily do the job and everything else a guy with 20 years OTR can do. It's a shame but I'd be willing to bet it would cost Tyson substantially less to sell their trucks, get rid of their drivers, and sub all that work out to JB. Then they have no insurance to pay, no benefits to pay employees, no trucks to buy and maintain, for Tyson it is a win win. JB will even put a dispatcher in the location they are serving to get a big time account like that.

What you are saying is not only the truth, but very sad and unfortunate. It would not surprise me if the day of company fleet trucks becomes an absolute thing of the past.

Tyson Foods truck drivers are some of the best paid drivers with some of the best benefits in all of the United States of America. If I am NOT mistaken, the average Tyson Foods truck driver earns $56,000 a year, plus benefits. Many earn less, many earn more.

I have a strange feeling that J.B. Hunt truck drivers do NOT earn an average of $56,000 a year. Perhaps I am quite wrong.

$56,000 a year is EXCELLENT money!

Before I had my CDL I worked for a Harley dealer. Back then Harley had company trucks and drivers. Those guys all told me it was the greatest truck driving job in the world, well no more, apparently Schneider is doing their hauling for them now.

Sam Walton, Don Tyson and JB Hunt all have northwest Arkansas roots and were buddies. With Don the last to die in 2011 it would surprise me if all three eventually merge.

If Walmart, Tyson Foods, and J.B. Hunt were to merge, that would create an economic powerhouse that we have yet to see. It would benefit the stockholders and certain powers to be. However, there is no telling how it would affect the rank and file workers working for those 3 companies.

I could of told you this 7-8 months ago. I was hauling in to the Sebree, KY feed mill. We all came rolling in one day and I'll be ###### if I saw 3 JB hunt trucks I asked the girl in the office amd she said "Their taking per the feed haul" well I was there and watched them do their ribbon cutting deal and then they started driving later that day. FIRST FIRST FIRST time one of their trucks tried to hook up he busted a fuel tank on a trailer leg. Then they started acting like they owned the #### joint and kept flying in and out if you've hauled in down there you know that theirs HUGE pot holes and their trucks are just flopping all over and they can't figure out why their braking stuff. Last I saw Tyson still had 2 of their Mack's I think they were hauling all the breeder feed themselves. Not sure though. JB DOES have their own desk in the Tyson scales/probe building. They tried to tell me to turn my truck around that my company had been banned from Tyson permanently. I pulled off the scale amd turned around and parked just outside the yellow gates came back in and he said "What don't you understand?" I said "Sir I'm needing to talk to one of the probe ladies." "Their out I'm running the office and YOUR BANNED" About that time one of them come out and said "Hey you ready to probe?" I said "Well according to him I'm banned permantly" "NEVERMIND him you know your always welcome" Never had a problem after that's but I quit hauling to Tyson and went back over the road. Tyson still hauls some of their own chickens. I heard that they are really unhappy with how things are going because things are getting tore up to much though. I was sure to call my little incident into the head man at the Tyson plant at Sebree, I haven't seen that guy anymore either. I ate at Rockhouse pizza that day he came in with his JB Hunt buddies and I was there with 2 other guys I drove with. The waitress was my brothers girlfriend at the time and now his wife. I said "don't serve that table that's the ones who took your boyfriends job" (He hauled feed for Tyson) She never did serve them and that SAME guy came over "Can I interest you boys in a job hauling feed for JB Hunt, were one of the top carriers in the country" the two I was with looked at him and told him they were completely happy driving for our small company.
