With 25 years of experience, you know nothing. Seriously, guys like you need to work for a small company with paper logs and no set speed limit. why? Because you cannot follow rules. You cannot follow laws and company policy. Stay where you are and everyone knows your name.
Back to the OP. You make some good points. The C&S account has been managed horribly from day 1. They bit off more than they expected. They took on too much and could not get enough qualified guys to cover the runs. I would not be surprised if they lost the account after their contract expired. As for their trailer situation, they are in the process of phasing out the older ones for new ones. They have MANY trailers so this is expected. I write on average of 2 trailers a week. If it is a small problem I will fix it myself.
To EWILL's point, I have seen many, many, drivers not do a proper pre trip nor post trip. Seems like the new guys just don't care about fixing the stuff. I myself have always looked long term and realize that if I don't write up a trailer I might be pulling the same one next week. Management has to step up their safety procedures on equipment and not just send an email about it.

Kiss my ###. I've DRIVEN for companies that Swift WISHED they had the safety ratings of and most of the drivers here couldn't get a job there if their life depended on it. With 5 years of experience, you don't have a lot to talk about. -
I have met John Roberts and he is very dedicated to the DCS accounts as the whole company Before he got the CEO, He was vP of DCS and that's where I met him...
