I was talking to the dispatcher who handles the new hires for the Chicago terminal and she told me that they trickle pay it to you a couple hundred at a time. I don't know what the time span is but I guess a year at the longest.

I drive for JB on the Chicago Intermodal West boards, so the info may or may not match your DCS case.

When I went through orientation 7 yrs ago, they had us lift some weights, run in place for 30 seconds, touch our toes, squat, climb in and out a frame to simulate a trailer's tailgate, squeeze a device to measure our grip strength, and that's all I recall. Who knows what they do now. Maybe a more recent hire can chime in.

    mattfield80 Thanks this.

I did it last week. It's a 3 minute step test, and the others mentioned by Ebola. you don't have to do all of the lifting tests, just the amount required for your account, which ppg is minimum standard. Its easy.
I was told $250 after first dispatch and the rest in intervals up to a year, for the bonus. I have yet to see copies of my first settlement so not sure.

    Ebola Guy Thanks this.

if they don't give you the 3000 as soon as you sign on it is NOT a sign on bonus..It has now been downgraded to some sort of GIMMICK with all kinds of stipulations added to it to be able receive it or lose it..kind of like what your experience driving for them will become:biggrin_2553::biggrin_2553:

Pace yourself so you can. It's not like it's a race.

well my legs get tired at the two minute or so mark....never in 8 ys of driving and 6 of those being flatbed, have I ever done what simulates a three min step test. and the metronome they use to keep pace is what gets me everytime....is it a pass/fail thing or what?
