I have made post before about this but now they are offering am start times so now I'm seriously considering this but is my recruiter Jeff blowing smoke up my ### ? Hopefully the drivers who know can answer these questions honestly.
1. Are the pallets hand or machine wrapped, went through this before when I drove with BH trucking out of the Aberdeen, Md C&S a few years ago, they were hand wrapped and always came undone on the way to deliver.
2. Not required to move Giant trailers in order to get to a dock. Another previous nightmare that would happen about 50% of the time.
3. Not required to re-arrange the stores freezer in order to make room for the pallets. Did not happen everyday but occasionally.
4. All the trailers are equipped with an electric and manual pallet jack. Never had them with BH but would be nice if true.
5. Most of the time the store will unload the trailer, again not a biggie just after the truth
6. it should not be a problem to hit $1200-$1300 a week if your willing to work.
I am till considering going to intermodal in Harrisburg it's a longer drive though, waiting to find out if an am start time is possible. On either job I have to have Sunday's off and a early am start time or it's a no go altogether. Any honest input would be greatly appreciated.

Let us know how this goes, OP. I was gonna write you a more lengthy response on my limited dealings with JB, which basically amounted to me getting an okay feeling off their DCS division. Good enough for me to use them as my backup company when I was getting back on the road earlier this year. Then again, when I told them no it seemed like I had more or less burnt a bridge...so take from that what you will, if you catch my drift.
Sorry to clutter up the thread, good luck! -
York , PA ?
Where do I sign up ? Thats where I live . Lol -
I also talked with a recruiter about that job but am ultimately torn between intermodal in Atlanta or dedicated in western MA. Would be nice to know if they are blowing smoke though.

Put it this way JB Hunt is the Masters of blowing smoke...they have made an art form out of lying to potential drivers just to get them in the truck.
Shaggy Thanks this. -
RULE #1
Never believe word 1 of what is spewing out of a recruiter's mouth.
They are only going to tell you what you want to hear. Then when they get you hired, they could care less about you. They made thier commission for getting you hired, and thats all they care about.Shaggy Thanks this. -
