This is completely untrue. I have been working for JB now for 2 months strong and have been averaging 2,800-3,000 miles weekly. Brand new truck. Already earned my first monthly production bonus of $500. They don't cut mileage because of your pay. I claim ZERO and have had checks of 800-1,000 dollars and have still got the mileage. They're definitely not low ballers. Most of the time, when people tell you stuff ... negative stuff ... it's because they didn't know what the hell they were doing. Time Management. Truck Maintenance. ETC.

I've seen some real clowns out here so far, and the best policy to have is to minimize your associations with other drivers. We're not out here to make friends. We're out here to make a living.

THIS IS TRUE. I started 2 months ago out of the Louisville terminal. Pay is right and the mileage is right. I average 2,800 - 3,000 miles weekly. I claim ZERO on my taxes and make over $800 a week ... NET PAY. Read my other posts if you haven't already about JB Hunt. This is the best decision I have made since before coal mining. :)

Update: I've finally decided to go with JB. After talking and thinking ALOT I figured I'd give it a shot. I was told my INS w short/long dis would only cost me around $70 a week, so besides that, 401k and a NEW truck I'm happy as long as they give me 2200+ weekly.

I'm hoping it turns out to be a decent gig if I go to work, do my job and go home! The + is they have like 5 regional/dedicated accounts that I could go after once there for 90 days if I choose. All of those would get me home weekends so I like having options within the same company!
