I'm currently at Swift doing Western 11 out for 12 days and home for 2 @.33 pm. I talked with a recruiter at
Jb hunt and he offered me a regional acct for jc penney out of buena park California out 5 days home on
Weekends @.35 pm. and I will only cover CA, NV and AZ. It sounds good but is it true or b.s.? Anyone else
Know about this acct?
Swift or JB Hunt

From what I know, the JCP acct. involves driver unloading, if u don't mind it. But ( I just left JB ) , and I had a regional acct... they DID get me home on the wknds.

I have a friend whose been doing regional with them for about a year now, home every weekend with them. Hes been quite happy with them and sais they bring guys on for as much as .40 cpm..... even from a close source that was hard to believe. Apparently they have improved compared to where they were in the past. I dont know how long youve been driving but after 6 months tops if not given a raise you shouldn't stay anywhere for .33 cpm especially around commiefornia where the cost of living is so high ( to pay for the benefits we need to give the border jumpers haha). To me 11 out is real otr that should be paying you .38, do some research 'sounds' like your getting shafted. Id make suggestions but I mostly watch companies in the south to south east

If you have 12 years experience why are you working for companies paying you .33 and .35 a mile? You are worth a lot more than that with 12 years behind the wheel... Just my .02polytrucker Thanks this. -
Polytrucker-- check if jnj or Tango hire in your area , they both pay more for experience

Thanx for ur input fellas greatly appreciated!

How long have you been driving? I see your bio info says 0-1 years. I thought .33 was their mileage rate for brand new drivers. Don't they give their first raise after 3 months and then every 3 months after that until you top out?

If your asking me, I dont drive for JB I have a friend who does, and they dont take new or student drivers from what he told me. I will ask him what experience they do require and about top out, but hes very happy with them because they to quote him 'pay me for everything' as in such things as layover and break down. And I still dont want to say they are a super trucking company, but if they had serious problems hes the type who would tell me and mostly I wanted to put them as a better choice for our original poster.
Big G express also seems to have a good rep, and one of their sites sais they require as little as 6 months otr, and then on this site I heard 1 year.....polytrucker Thanks this. -
Jb is a lot better, and that account does require unloading, its not that bad and good exercise..
