Since JB is mostly Intermodal,Regional and Dedicated accounts anymore I highly doubt you'll stay out more than a week or two at a time.

First of all don't believe anything JB hunt puts down...they have made lying an artform.

The 45 day out of for their top pay in OTR, they have options for home daily, a few times a week, weekly, bi-weekly if you get on with any of their DCS accounts. The 45 days out is for the OTR position advertising $70k yearly, basically to make that money with them OTR you have to live in the truck, but on some of their dedicated accounts you can make close to that while being home almost daily.
I hate to admit it but I have worked for them twice in the past, both times when I needed something quick to fill in a slow time, the first time was in 2004, did a team DCS run from PA to CA with my brother, made $1,500 a week each, not bad. The second time was for 6 weeks in 2013, needed to move from NM back home to PA to correct a bad decision I made with my car haul business, they had a position with relocation assistance, stayed there just long enough to collect the relo bonus, I was going thru some tough times with my business so cash was a big problem. I was on their C&S grocery then Home Depot DCS account, $1,100 a week solo, home two to three times a week, not bad for a mega carrier.
If anything went sour again with my businesses I would not hesitate to go back to them, they are not great but it is what you make of it. I had a real good account manager both times, the first one, Alan Meyer was a former tow truck driver like myself so we hit it off right away, the C&S manager was way to green, that is why I switched to Home Depot, Chris Murphy, the Home Depot account manager was an awesome manager, especially for a youngster (maybe 24 to 26). I never had a problem with their support staff, the shops were always good, night support was fairly competent, over all not too bad, just a lot of big corporate baby sitting.zoekatya Thanks this. -
