I heard the JBS Training Manager Tom Christian is resigning from his position, must be because of the mass exodous of JBS Driver Mentors over the last 2 months....very interesting....the plot thickens....

Tom use to be the guy you call when you have Overage, shortage, and damages. Next thing I know this guy is over training. Well most trainers want miles, and this is not a team type company.
I have pulled Swift out of Marshalltown,Greeley, and Cactus for over 10 years. Only time you have somewhat of a hot load is when they take too long to load, but you still really don't need it ran as a team for the most part.
I just took a load from a trainer who needed to take care of business at home since I was coming out of home time, and 1st stop delivered the next morning in Wichita, and the 2nd stop delivered in North Platte the next day at 8 30pm. I got there about 4 or 5pm. After I delivered the 1st stop. almost got a 34 in. I wouldn't train. Because I wouldn't like sitting next to a trainee for 30 hrs while waiting. Then sitting in the passenger seat being bored to death, and scared to death.
I'm sure the calls about miles drove the guy crazy, and the constant qualcom messages that nobody was responding to about being a trainer.
For those who are employed or have been employed over a year. I know last year My vacation pay came with my direct deposit when my year was up. I know I got my fuel bonus check in the mail. I'm wondering are they also sending vacation pay in the mail or still along with your direct deposit??? -
An FRE driver was complaining in Millard/Grand Island about them rushing him on a friday to pick up a load in Holcombe Ks on a friday or Saturday and the load doesn't deliver in La Porte till Tuesday. He was complaining also about the Pete he had that wouldn't idle because he had the electric apu that only runs for 10 hrs and he had to rig up something so he could idle his truck to charge it up. There's also a Furniture Row driver here in a Coronado with full running boards. I haven't seen many like that for FRE. I know when I had mine. I was always having weight issues. His even has a apu so I know its even heavier. Well headed to Queens, NY you folks have a great weekend.

Thanks Harley. Just called pay roll and they are probably going to have to put it on next check.
Wow they pay 150 layover when they give you to much time to deliver on a load. No he didn't say that. He said he can only idle is truck 5mins or it will shut off. He said he rigged up something I guess it keeps the pedal down so it won't shut off. I never had a electric apu. So not sure how it works but. He was just shooting the breeze while we waited to get checked in. He brought a load in from Laporte to Millard so he didn't stay upstairs long. -
