i got a few questions..

1st. Where are all their terminals located at?

2nd. Are you pretty much run around the lower 48 or do they keep you in any particular lanes?

3. If you lease a truck is it a brand new truck or something someone else had, and i assume you get to pick exactly what you want when you lease versus "rushing outside and taking the one you want as fast as possible"

4. Are they good about getting you home when you wanna get there?

1.You asked where the terminals are located. The only ones I know of so far is Fort Worth/Dallas TX, Mira Loma, CA and naturally Sapulpa, OK (the home base). I want to get a list myself and put it on my comp. We just been driving for them for 3 wks so not sure myself.

2. Where u run. You run all over. No low states high states. Where ever they need u they send u. Right now we're going to Pittsburgh, PA. We had drops in PA, CA, NV, TX, NM, IL, OH, OK, and a couple I can't think off of the top of my head. And we only been with them for 3 wks. I love it!

3. Now about the truck you get. When you get done with orientation, and u go get ur truck, you only can get what's out there at the time. But if you don't like what u get at that time, go in and talk to a man named John (don't know the last name sorry), he's the one that handles the trucks. Tell him what u want and he will try his best to get it for u or extremely close. Make sure you ask him also for an APU because JCT does a lot of running to CA and CA has a no idle law. And those darn idleair things u see at TA and that are costly. Then you go back to the Sapulpa yard in 90 days and get your truck. We got one now we don't like so we will be going back in 60 days now to get ours. Then in 3 to 5 yrs depending on how long you want to pay off your truck, you then go see Mr. Christner, give him a dollar and he gives you the title to that truck. That truck is yours to do with what you want. Even if you left JCT after and went with someone else that truck goes with u. We're not leaving JCT by no means. I love this company. Mr. Christner is a very nice man and treats his drivers like gold. If you have a problem he will always be more than happy to talk to you about it. He says, "We can't come to a resolution of a problem if you don't come and see me about it." One thing you will see with JCT is years time drivers. Even after they own their trucks they're still with him. Paid holidays, he increases the fuel surcharge when the price of diesel goes up, every 4 months if you have no accidents or tickets you get a $900.00 bonus, if you conserve fuel you get a bonus, like I said he treats his drivers like gold.

4. Home time. You tell your dispatch two weeks ahead of time and they'll see about getting you home. Now I heard this from other drivers, I don't know personally because we drove for England and they caused us to lose our home. So with the good pay we're getting now, we don't see no problem what so ever about getting our home back. And then my kitty can run his little legs off again.

Another note with JCT, he loves mile runners. You run the miles you're doing great. And the bennies are nice.

Yes u have to. JCT is getting rid of the company drivers thing and it'll be gone by the end of this year. But one nice thing though. When you join JCT you don't have to pay truck payments for the first month and he gives you 200 gallans of gas free to start out. He knows that you coming in probably without a dime (so to speak) and that's his way of helping. After that you're truck payments are between $450.00 to $550 a week. Our truck payments are going to be $450.00 a week. I am not sure if the truck payments go as high as $500.00 or $550.00 a week. The newer the truck the higher the weekly payments lets say that lol. But I can almost bet it don't go higher than $550.00 a week. That you would have to double check with John. But at least the payments are going to owning it, and in 3 to 5 yrs (however quick you pay it off) it's yours. Not like junky England you keep paying and don't get nothing. Also Sno one other thing, I did the math and after you pay off the load locks they want you to have and that, you're weekly deductions from your paycheck is something like $234.00 a week plus your fuel and your truck payments. Mr. Christner pays for all the road/highway taxes, the permits the whole nine yards. I researched and you can't find another company that does that. Mr. Christner has drivers that own two and some three and Mr. Christner helps them sub lease those trucks out while they're still driving for him. For tolls, Mr. Christner has IPass, PikePass, and EZpass. If there's a toll one of the three passes don't cover, you contact your DM and he'll send you an AR number for an EFS check (we don't use comdata), and u use that to cover the tolls. To give you an idea of what you could make with JCT, my hubby and I ran 2500 miles (slow week) and got paid a net check of $1,844.00. Even with the truck payment that still would have left us with $1,394.00. This week here we got paid $1,539.00. That just shows you the range you get paid. You run miles you do favors for them, they take notice of that and if you need to do an emergency down the street your DM will help. You run the miles and they strongly look at that and you get little bennies for it. That's what a driver told my hubby and that driver drove for JCT for 9 years now. And Sno, the drivers of JCT are really nice. (I ran into 2 grumps) out of the month we been here, but that is truly rare. Say one of the drivers had a death in the family, all the drivers pitch in and take a collection. Or if a driver is sick they take a collection. Really family oriented. Pass another JCT on the road they wave to you like they knew you all along. I never seen that before. I just love the company. I could ramble on about them forever. So, runningonempty, you really were running on empty. LOL Hey, great information! I find your comments about doing extra things and earning bennies interesting. So many people are in it for themselves that when they read comments like that they will respond, 'Yeah, suck up and then the company will do something for you." You have a great attitude, one that is more needed today. The last amount you listed for $1,500+, was that after truck payment? Your miles seem low for a team is that because your freight is slow or are you able to choose how hard you run? Do you know how solos are doing right now? I have to get my experience current before they will "hire" me but they are a company I have thought about going to in the future?

I added you to my friends list I hope you don't mind cause you sound like you would really like Christner and I could help you out all you needed. First lol I don't drive, my hubby is solo. I do the mapquest and he does the driving. We're a team but not in that respect lol. He and I been together for 15 years so yes we're a team. When he starts to slack off on his driving I kick him in the place that he puts on that seat. Well, that week we got the $1,500 we only had one trip under our belt cause we just started, but the week before last we only ran 2500 and got paid $1,844.00. Right now the drivers are making $1.50 cents per mile. Like I said I love this company. The DM's are great with great personalities. They love to joke around with the drivers to break up the monotony. You call up for a load you got because JCT wants you to run the miles and really get recognition for it. Even though I don't drive, the DM we have now I call her C and she calls me S (for Sue), like I said I just love the company. I promise you when you get your year otr, come to JCT. I can promise you you won't be sorry. You call them up, "Hey, you all got any loads please?" "Yep sure do and off you go." Or if you put a empty call in and they have a load right then and there off you go. As long as they see you want the miles they're happy campers and so are you. Another secret if they give you a load RUN! If you have the hours. Don't go to a truck stop and sit. That's when I kick my hubby in the seat when he wants to do that. Oh and you do buy your own fuel. What ever is at the pumps is what you pay. That's why that one check was on the low side. We had to gas up in CA. 5.00 a gallon then. Both our tanks together equal 250 gallons. Ed cried as he was pumping trust me. So don't ever gas up in CA, do it before hand you will save money. Also with Mr. Christner, he has some kind of deal going on with Flying J. When you gas up at a Flying J's Mr. Christner pays you back 2 cents a gallon. Every little bit helps. Well you take care PawPaw and you be safe out there. Talk soon.

ok sounds good :P , ive seen at least 25 JCT trucks this weekend going west outta oklahoma, im comin east outta arizona, i dunno if its cuz im interested in the company so i notice them, its a sign, or theres just a heck of a lot of JCT loads goin west this weekend
