Where is the blower motor for the cab vents this is an '03 T600? Is it easy to change out? Are replacements expensive? I'm not even sure the blower motor is my problem. My a/c is aggravating. The expansion valves freeze up. Everything's been replaced a blown compressor this past winter, new drier, new expansion valves. I can turn the a/c on and the blower will quit working after about 30 seconds. Turn it off then turn the blower off,,,, a few minutes later turn all on and try it again , same thing. After doing that for about 50 miles down the road a few dozen times finally it will continue to blow cold air for a long time and I have good a/c until it freezes up and I have to turn everything off and thaw it again for a few minutes then I got good a/c for another good while... Another wierd thing is I can turn the blower fan on low or high and it will always freeze up. The only way I can ever get or even keep a/c once I've got it going is to set the blower on medium and I always have to have the sleeper a/c on as well.. I hope somebody can give me some ideas things to check here.. I'm thinking maybe do a full evac then recharge after replacing the drier... and hope that fixes it then maybe try replacing the blower motor if not.. I really don't know what to do I am thinking it is more than the blower motor but my fan does seem kind of weak... It sucks having a flaky a/c in the deep south during summer and sucks even more just throwing money at the problem...

You get to the blower motor for the cab by removing the panel on the passenger side firewall. Have to take off the air intake tube, then its the panel behind it. Not terribly difficult to get to, probably the biggest challenge will be rusty screws. The motor itself isn't too expensive, has a fan mounted on each end of its shaft, make sure you mark them before or immediately after taking them off so you don't put them on backwards later. Won't get much air if they're backwards. I don't know about your other a/c problems, but I can offer one suggestion if you open it up to change the motor- use air and water to blow out and then flush out your a/c evaporator and heater core. If its never been done, and your truck is an '03, it probably needs it. May not solve the problem, but it could help and it doesn't take long to do. Good luck.

Oh man I just resided a 01 freight that I suffered in part for that problem. My air dryer imploded caused black death hope that didn't happen to your system I should have changed out the hole thing when it happened in stead I threw good money at bad 3 compressors a year the blak stuff in the dryer went thru every thing. If your fan can't blow through the evaporator due to dirt,hair it may cause pressure to go up and freeze things up I hope its just that. And not the black Seth good luck

Yep, captw900 got it right. If the expansion valve is freezing, there's dirt or debris in the system and is possibly the dryer at fault. Have someone hook up the gauges and an abnormal high reading on the high pressure side will show the expansion valve is clogged.

Check the water drain for the evaporator. They can get plugged up with all kinds of stuff from twigs to mud dabbers. If the water can't drain out from there then it freezes up real fast. And no air will come out of the vent's. And on all KW's the blend air door may be hung up. Hope this helps Bill

I have a 2013 Kenworth t660 everything works fine for about 5 mins than it gets humid the clutch doesn't engage at first I thought it was the pressure sensors I replaced them but that didn't help can someone please help!

Need help the sleeper just blows out hot air the truck has a new compressor, drier, and expansion valve. Does the sleeper have different Ac components? The compressor stays engaged while the sleeper is on I even shut off the front Ac in the cab any comments would be greatly appreciated

Heater blower issues.
New wire connectors on blower motor, new resisrtor, blower runs at various times. I have the cover off the inside, when I hit the vent housing hard it turns on blower. Any ideas, besides changing 120.00 blower out. All wires or good to resistor, and HVAC control.
One other thing, could it be as simple as temp controller box under blower housing. -
My guess is the blower motor if it turns on after being hit. Is this in a T800? I would also buy a cab air filter kit if you don't already have one. In dusty conditions that cab blower will #### the bed every year from the dust intake.
