    KW Parts Guy

Just thought I would post these up again, as i have seen some guys asking me directly for info within the bodies of threads. I dont read all the posts, even in the Kenworth forums, so if you are looking for an answer fairly quickly private message me, i get a message on my phone that way.

    1. I need the last 6 of your VIN number to find anything/everything
    2. Also need the year.
    3. Please PM me the request, just helps me so I dont miss a request if the thread gets long.
    4. If you want a diagram I will need an e-mail adress to forward it to
    5. I can also look up Finning and Cummins parts NOT in a Kenworth if you give me the COMPLETE ENGINE SER, cpl and arangement numbers are no longer enough to be 100% positive on the actual parts on your engine any more.
    6. If it was added to your truck after it left the factory I cant look it up!
    7. Again no price requests, these will be ignored.
    8. And I swear to god, if anyone sends me a request without the critcal info mentioned above, instead replacing the info with the phrase 'hey come man they're all the same', you will be ignored and made the butt of many jokes and riffs from my crew as we sling turbos and brake shoes all day!

P.S. I guess if a mod felt so inclined he/she could sticky this in here as well.

The engine manuals are only available from Cummins, I shudder to think what they want for them. And no on-line diagrams for pre-88 chassis, sorry. There is a number for the suspension drawing but their is no online source - R115-3440.

I paid about $100 for my ISX engine manual from cummins. They'll even ship it to you.

That's really funny coming from a guy who sells parts from behind a Kenworth dealer's counter top.. I'd think you wouldn't flinch at all..

Where'd you get that? Their website?

I've got an army bootleg for my VT-903, but I'd love to get my hands on a civilian spec manual. They're about $75 on ebay beat to hell, so $100 new doesn't sound bad at all.

great deal, honestly i've never had to order one, but other manuals i have sourced from Cummins in the past have been in the 4-500 dollar range.

You would not believe some of the margins...on captive parts you would lose your mind if you knew what Paccar makes.
