Where is the 'click' from? The fire wall, the battery box, or the starter? I believe there is a starter switch on firewall, drivers side. (I've also seen them in the battery box) Next time it wont start, get a helper to turn the key and track down the click, before you boost it.
    Hope this helps.

Best solution for me is to tighten up all the connections on the batteries every 1st of the month. Vibration is the culprit. Every time I tighten them, they are loose..

Be very careful to wear rubber gloves tightening up the terminals on the battery and DO NOT touch the wrench to any metal when tightening the positive (+) terminals. You can blow up your batteries if you ground out the wrench to the frame..... Just Sayin be careful!!!!
