That rear ratio scares me.......... But modern times I guess. Tks for the info!

P.S. I have a few new Mack's working with me , and the guys seem to like them. Both the titian and the CH 613 (I think) that's what they used to call it anyway...no m drives tho....

When the salesman said 3:21 rears I said that's for hauling doritos not oil. But I promise you with the torque and tranny gear ratios and the programming these things have it pulls the hills great. As I said I stay right with my friend in his star with 600 ponies and he had 3:90.

I have a friend in Ga that has a new Mack CHU613 with the Mdrive 505 HP and likes it real well. Says it pulls great he says. He was a KW man for over 20 years. Guess times are changing.

Do you know what the weight of your tractor. Trying to get a sense of how much the D16 adds to the truck weight.

I'm not 100% but I believe it's right around 10,000kg so she's a tank. But mine is not good to judge, you'll wanna hit up a dealership. My truck is heavy spec and has alot of extra steel on her for my oil hauling.

Their big issue is emissions. Not every single one is a lemon or going to have issue after issue but enough of them are that it's a big gamble. I'm not bias by any means. My favorite engines a n14 celect plus, my dream truck is a w900. I own a international, a freightliner, and a volvo which is my first.

But when I decided to buy my truck I spent alot of time learning and researching ever option. I tested every single truck and when I made my decision it was the best one for what I need it for. If I would have been solely infield I would have gotten the star but I'm highway and I personally don't like the cramped cabs of Petes or kw seeing as I live in it.

At the end of the day I am only one man with one opinion but I bet you will find more guys who tell you that 1: the isx is the worst engine cummins ever built and 2: they tanked with the emissions.

Glad to hear yours had no issues, whenever you sell it the warranty paperwork can be a selling feature as it won't show much.

We have 2 '13 T800s with ISX 600/2050 motors(2010 versions). Knock on wood we haven't had any problems. Pull really good. Get about 4 mpg in summer and 3 in winter. We haul around 165,000 lbs to 170,000 lbs.
