I've been driving this company truck pretty hard. Info on it is 2012 T-660 KW. Milage- 270,000. 10 speed. Cummins Engine.Anyways, The "Boost Guage" sensor has turned the first check engine light on. Well since then the second one has come on. the yellow with the wrench.

When I drive the truck these lights cancel out about once per trip. When they come on I lose power but can run. Sometimes I have to shift down to 7th on a load. When it's not on I'm running good dont have to shift down maybe depending on the hill or mt. size. anyways what do you think this sounds like. It's going in the shop after I come off of home time.

Figured I would ask a mechanic or possibly hear from an actual KW mechanic.

    Thanks.

I've been driving this company truck pretty hard. Info on it is 2012 T-660 KW. Mileage- 270,000. 10 speed. Cummins Engine ISX-15. Anyways, The "Boost Gauge" sensor has turned the first check engine light on. Well since then the second one has come on. the yellow with the wrench in the middle.

When the first one is on I still have power the Gauge just doesn't work. When I drive the truck with both these on I lose power but can run it just causes me to shift down on a load to 8th or 7th gear when usually I can climber hills or decent size mountains in 10th or 9th if I have to. Now, here's the kicker. See the fist light comes on first. Then the second light comes on down the road. Sometimes after time it will shut off the that's yellow with the wrench in the middle and things are back to normal. Weird stuff. It's going to a dealership I just thought I would get some advice or maybe a decent response about this.

Figured I would ask a mechanic or possibly hear from an actual KW mechanic. <--- No responses from anyone in the mechanics page.

    Thanks.

It's a company truck. Just take it in and get it fixed.

I thought it would be something good to learn and know about for years down the road if I ever decide to make a purchase of my own.

get a diagnostic ready and read the code, find out what it means. I know very little about diesel engines, but when I'm hear boost gauge isn't working and there is a issue with power loss, I think vacuum lines. Perhaps the one going to the gauge or the t-fitting, but that's for a gas turbo engine. Not sure on diesel.

Maybe its due for a PM1 or PM2.
Didn't your company send you a macro about that?

Sensors go out.. it happens. If you engine is derating, it could be for a number of reasons, ranging from an internal engine issue to an exhaust issue. How are your other gauges looking? How often is your truck going into regen?
