2003 T600 397114 - windshield wiper linkage

I've got a one piece curved windshield with wipers that sweep up and towards the outside edges. The linkage came loose from the motor. What kind of retainer goes on there? I also noticed an awful lot of slop on the linkage joints is that normal or just how it is after 11 years 1.2 million miles? Before the linkage fell off the motor my wiper blades got to where they would sweep to the outside edge of the window at the post. They'd been doing that for the last year or so. Had been intending to adjust thembut never got to it. Now I see all this play in the linkage and wonder if I should replace everything.

 

Socket was fine. The snap ring retainer came off at some point and it worked it's self off the motor. It's been like that for a while. It's what had the sweep going too wide. That's corrected now and there's nothing wrong with the linkage.
