06 dash in a 04 truck

    Will a 06 dash bolt up to a 04 truck? I know they are different dash.

    I'm sure that it will, but there are a lot differences in the wiring between the two.

    Why? the 06 dash is a plastic shell that squeaks and needs an icu/cecu to work the gauges. the metal dash was a better one in my opinion.

    04's are all plastic as well, other than the actual gauge panels, which are aluminum. I have an 07 now, and it has less squeaks and rattles than my 05 had, which was the same as an 04.

    Most people don't know this.......but the cab on 06 and newer are different.......go buy a visor for 06 and try puttin it on your 04.

    The reason I want to replace it is because it has cracks in it. I don't necessarily want to replace it with a newer dash.

    Don't the '06 and ups have all rocker switches? I'd hate that it'd make me have to lean forward to get a switch.

    Does anyone know where I can get a dash for an 04 w900? Isn't the dash in the T800 and T600 the same as the W900?
