    Turbo is about to go! You might wanna look at the turbo fins... Might be one broken or cracked! I had one broken on an old Pete I drove & a little piece of the fin inside the turbo was missing & it made a chopping sound! Had to replace the whole turbo but I did it myself since it didn't go out compleatly

    Thanks. Had the exhaust side apart last week, looked good on that side. Will have to check intake side.

    Haven't checked the intake side yet, but I do not hear the noise anymore!

    well here is the intake side. not good and it is hitting housing slightly. IMAG0102.jpg which turbo to replace it with is my question. Has a borg warner 174248 on it now I think hard to read tag. is the borg warner 177148 a better choice or to much. engine rated at 475hp right now, plan on going to 550 later.
