First off I'm fairly new in the trucking profession, been doing it for almost 2 years and mainly only pulled dump trailers with older model macks. However about a week a go the company I work for got 3 new KW T880's and i was lucky to get one. My only problem with the truck so far is a very annoying squeak that seems to be coming from the rubber pieces that the hood lays on. Ive tried grease on them but does anyone else have any suggestions?

You can try adjusting the hood guides to where the hood won't rub on them.

I've read in this forum of putting clothing rags on the rubber contacts i,e: shop towels or red mechanic rags and the squeaking will go away
-
At the top of the hood there are two pads left and right they can be adjusted as well
-
Top of where hood sits by windshield

Liquid Silicone lubricant can't hurt , on any rubber seal door gasket ect it may not eliminate squeek but it will help the rubber from deteriorating and keep the rubber soft and pliable ,
-
PS any petrolium product and rubber are not a good combination
