I went under the truck I can move the shaft maybe a 1/4 inch up but I really have to use a lot of strength? Signs of carrier bearing going bad again ?

Check where the shafts come out of the housings. There should be no play when you push up on the drive lines. (It takes a lot of force to lift them) but it sounds like a driveline problem to me, so check it all for movement from the rear of the transmission to the rear axle input shaft. Make sure its out of gear, brakes set, wheels chocked, put on some bad clothes and heavy gloves and push pull rock and twist. Check the ujjoints thoroughly. U-joints go out pretty quick but this could be a new problem that has similar symptoms to the other.. if you use your power divider lock often or drive with it on down the highway it can put alot of strain on the drive train.

Sometimes you get bad fuel. I have a vacuum restriction gauge on my primary fuel filter. Can see when I've loaded up on fuel with something in it.
