Just because we can, doesn't mean we should... apparently the interior cab lights are computer controlled.
The switch for the interior cab lights is a three-position switch: bottom) no lights at all, middle) lights on when doors open, top) lights all on. Or at least, that's how it is supposed to work.
I have had the dealer re-set the switch to those parameters three times, but it doesn't seem to stick. It will work that way for a while, then, for some reason it seems to default to: bottom and middle) lights come on when doors open. I thought I was just imagining it, but that's what is happening. I know, it isn't a major issue, just irritating.
I don't know if there is something I am doing that is causing the switch switch, but does anyone know how to get it to stay as intended?

Well slap me silly. I've been driving another brand for the last few years and the switch works as I described. I just assumed...
IMHO, that's how the switch should work. I like being able to have the interior lights not turn on when opening the door. Among others, there's a tactical reason for it during far north summer, I mean mosquito, season. And I definitely don't have the red sex lights happening... at any time.
Having said all that, I am still sure that I wasn't imagining things having it set up as I described.
Maybe.
