:biggrin_25516: We posted a 2015 KW 900L with a ISX15 at 550hp in Feb of this year. While pulling a load to PA from MS last week the engine quit while pulling a mountain in WV. Allowed it sit for awhile then attempted to start, with no luck. Called a wrecker that pulled it to WorldWide Equipment in Jane Lew, WV. The next couple of days they called and advised that it had busted pistons, broke crank, bent and dropped valves, just to name a few. The engine only had 28,000 miles. I have put all but about 300 miles on it. Cummins agreed to replace the engine with a brand new, not factory rebuilt engine after our lawyer became involved.

Has anyone else experienced a catastropic failure with these few miles? Is the ISX 15 a lemon as was the Cat C13?

Sometimes you get a bad engine, transmission, etc. I don't think Cummins fail like that very often. My first truck had a faulty transmission. My second truck had an engine problem (cracked head).

That is true, got to shift it like you are mad at it. Almost like shifting a 13 speed with the old Screaming Demon Detroits
