Kenworth T2000 with a CAT 3406E, cranks over but will not start. If you add starting fluid it will burn up the fluid but will not maintain idle. Fuel does reach the head but something will not allow the injectors to activate and work. Does anyone have some wiring ideas as to which pins need to be checked? Or where to start?
Thank you

Check ECM fuse

If its not showing a code the sensor on L ft. of timing cover or the one lower down on the crank sensor on L side might be the problem ENG. will do just as yours is doing, carrying a extra one in the tool box is like having a spare set of points in a old car! 137$ last one I paid for.

If the ECM fuse is blown or a bad connection to the battery it will appear normal, crank over and everything but will not fire. I've had it happen, the tech had the engine firing with starting juice but as soon as you stop the engine quit running.

Ditto on that. I had the same symptoms--problem was bad connection on the ecm fuse @ the batteries.
