I pulled into the Loves in Blacksburg, SC last night to get fuel on my way home to GA and a fellow driver informed me that I had no brake lights on my trailer. I have running lights and all but no brake lights. Everything works fine on the tractor. I started looking for a fuse/relay for TRL STOP but couldn't find one. I had this same problem on my old 2007 T600 and it was the relay labeled TRL STOP..... Now I have a 2000 W900L and don't see that marked in there or anything else that has to do with trailer lamps. And this afternoon I lost my left turn signal on the trailer only but not on tractor...... Can anyone help me out on what to investigate on what could possibly be my issue?? Thanks in advance!!
2000 W900L no brake lights on trailer but I have brake lights on tractor!!

Do you have a test light? If you do, check the end of the pigtail on your truck to see that the brake light signal is indeed making it's way to the trailer plug receptacle.
I am thinking you have a bad/lost connection in the front connector in the trailer. Undo that and pull it out, be careful, there is about 10 sets of wires that just plug onto it (if you have that design) - I think the bottom center one is for trailer brake lights.Another Canadian driver, ProfessionalNoticer, ramblingman and 1 other person Thank this. -

check your grounds.. try gently sreading the prongs open in the nest on your trailer before hooking up your pigtail for a better connection.. troubleshoot.. a fuse..? Harness..? Bulbs/lamps burnt out.?

Tested the pigtail from truck with a test light and not getting anything for the brake lights. Pulled trolley valve down to call for brake lights and still didn't get anything. Any suggestions? I read where one person had a similar problem and was told it may be in turn signal switch!! Anyone think that's a possibility even though the turn signals and brake lights work on the tractor?

Did you check at the back of the end of the pigtail cord? Or did you pull out that cord and check to see where that cord plugs into the truck, see if the brake signal is making it to there. That would tell you if you have a bad cord.

That is my next thing. Just funny that I lost brake lights on trailer first and now left turn signal but not the right turn signal

Update: I have fixed the turn signal issue. I guess after checking my pigtail with a test light I didn't get a good enough connection when hooking it back into the tractor side. I have changed electrical lines and still have no brake lights on trailer. I checked on the firewall and found 2 large relays for "TRLR STOP LP Relay" and "TRLR AUX Relay"... Still no fuses. I swapped those relays to see if I would gain stop lamps and lose markers lights but it all remained the same

Ok I found the 30 AMP fuse on the firewall labeled TRLR BRAKE LAMP and it is still good. From my research I'm reading there's 2 wires that run up to my turn signal switch. 1 runs lights on truck, other runs for the trailer. So I will go to KW tomorrow and get a new turn signal switch and see if it fixes the brake light issue!!
