Sounds like a simple sensor problem. Ambient temperature/barometric pressure sensor. Tells ECM what to do to compensate for fuel air ratio at different elevations. Easy fix if that's the actual cause.

    Good luck.

I wonder if anyone else has had any issues with a first generation Signature 565 Cummins with fuel related gremlins? I just put a new ECM on this engine 4 days ago and it's been fine after running with CEL on for a few days and experiencing all kinds of malfunctions and throwing codes everywhere.

Yesterday while decending a severely steep incline from a delivery, the engine quit altogether. Got it fired back up, had a CEL again which made me wild after $3,000.00 last Thursday. Shut key off...reset and was good until an hour later, decending down another hill and shut down again twice. I was LOW on fuel, but not to the point I thought it would affect anything. I went and filled one tank (150 gal. tank,) and after that it seemed to cure the problem altogether.

I am leaning towards being low on fuel, and catching a bit of air in the fuel system that caused the scare. I could have a cracked pickup tube in the draw tank...

Anyone ever have this type of scenario go on that they'd like to share, so I don't feel like the Lone Ranger...?
