You need a burn that's all if you do have a switch it should always stay in up position!! So it can automatically burn if it wants. If you have a switch hold it in up position till burn starts and wait till it's done carfull it will get screaming hot. If you do not have switch you will need some one to use computer to force a burn. So times if you let truck go to long you will have to remove Center section of exhaust there on passengers side and take to some one for cleaning only way to keep these new trucks running is doing frequent burns and always checking over that exhaust crap. Lol

o #### replied to first page lol any way yes it dose have smoke on it usually just hold it up for awhile will start burn if not it probly needs a a forced regeneration witch means you need to find some one who has cummins insite to do it that takes about an hour. allways leave that swith in up position so truck can do aburn on its own I will repeat if you hold up on switch for about one min it should do a burn if not its gone to far and need lap top with insite. I should also mention if you do just drive continued eventually it will derate and youwill need to remove exhaust filter under passengers side step and send it to kenworth for a clean witch they take forever. when I say clean burn or regeneration I mean same thing sorry about spelling and all that im just aoilfied mechaninc lol

Are you familiar with the fuel intake module? Left rear engine locale. Aluminum block with fuel pressure sensor/fuel shut-off solenoid? This area is known for wiring defects. I can assist with further details.
