This spring I bought a nice 03 T600 w/Cummings pre-emissions motor. Its run like a champ all summer and the A/C blows super cold. The other day with the temps starting to drop I got into some rain with an outside temp of about 58 degrees, truck started to fog.

So I flipped the HAVC controls over to Heat and Defrost and found I have no Cab Heat. Played around with it some more and found I have no heat in the bunk either (A/C works great back there).

Today I've been looking the truck over to try and figure out what is happening and found the following:
*edit* - I should note the top valve was in the horizontal position, the bottom valve was in the vertical position when I found them. *edit*

Those seem to go to my heater core, the top valve was in the horizontal position, the bottom was in the vertical. So I changed them both to horizontal and still no heat, I then changed them both to vertical, still no heat (no idea which direction indicated the valve is open). So, looking this over some more, I traced the top line into:

That little dodad seems to connect to my HAVC in the truck, when I roll the temp selected from cold to hot, it moves back and forth.. Wire seems to be good, moves smoothly, everything connected there seems correct..

So what am I missing? Where should I started checking now? No matter the valve position on the top picture, it seems my lines never warm up, and definitely don't get as warm as my coolant lines. Also, when I say I have no cab heat, I mean none at all, its not just little warm, but just zip, same as outside temp, when I flip the AC on, it blows really cold.

Someone give me an idea where to go checking now?

Follow the coolant lines to the source (engine), start from there..

This might sound slightly stupid, but isn't that the lines coming out of the engine? I thought they exited the motor right there, one for the front one for the back.. And then looped back into the cooling system. Your thinking something "down the line" is plugged, or would there be another valve somewhere "down the line"?

If you are not getting hot coolant at the valves, something is amiss further forward..

You have 2 more valves like those at the front of the engine by the water filter. Try turning them on also. When they are on the handles will be inline with the coolant lines.

Perfect, found them just a little bit ago, they are tucked in by the frame under the alternator.

    Thanks everyone for the help!

help! I'm having issues too. Replaced all heater hoses to bunk and cab. replaced heater control valve under heater core on cab and the control cable too. Been running with it now for three days and still no heat. I put new valves on all 4 lines, send and return and all are open no heat in front or back. Coolant level good. Is there something I'm missing? 2003 t-600

both front and back are same set up basically and I blew air through both and did a light pressure test on them both to insure no leaks. Took the lines off the front today and switched them still nothing so put them back to normal position. Even with ac and recirculate buttons off and heat control all the way to hot.... Nothing. Heater valve is moving good and correct

Just like a baby, air in the system, you need to burp it!

thanks, silly question but how exactly do I do that? Disconect the hose on return and open flow till its shooting out ? Or?
