Internationals are all double framed at 275" WB and over IIRC. So they are heavier.
Go with the KW, sounds like you have pretty much made up your mind already!
As far as Volvo's and offroad work......yeah right. That plastic will be falling off in weeks, if not days.

I couldn't agree more!! And my dream truck had always been a long nose whether it's a Pete or a kw. I feel in love when i walked into the shop! The guy that deals with the trucks and new drivers comes back Monday so i can talk to him and figure everything out so i can put in my 2 weeks. I still have to drive it because they had to order some bushings for the rear but if it rides better then the international and the company trucks i drive now--Volvo midroof and Mack with a really small sleeper--then I'm gonna have to take it!

A clean oil sample and a short test drive I would buy it for 25k!...........................if the engine blew next week ..........oh well.........I guess you have a $40,000 truck with a new motor.
-
Im gonna get an oil sample when i buy it and change the oil. I have a general list of the stuff the shop had done to it in the last 3 year's so i know it's been kept up on. But test drive is a must but have to wait. Plus get it outside to like at it. Didn't wanna spend a ton of time in the shop since they don't want people in there anyway. I don't think it's a bad deal. And its unmolested so it hasn't been turned up and no computer to turn it up. I might do the diesel freaks harness to help with fuel. Figure 185 bucks isn't bad. If i gain fuel economy then it'll be worth it. If not I'm out 185 which isn't horrible and i don't believe it would hurt the truck As much as a bully dog could if out we're used to crank up the engine too much

Also since 2011 37k had been invested in parts which includes tires and other normal wear and tear things. Make components seem to be replaced. Rear end, suspension, tranny, cooling system, exhaust, pto and other things. So to me it sounds like it will be a decent reliable truck.

Sounds like you made your mind up already, and for what it's worth I agree with your decision!

not to be a smart ### but if you haul good freight fuel mileage not an issue.my e model with 370 18 spd 22.5 rubber will get between 4.7-6 light 6 heavy 4.7. van trailer

Thanks leftlanetruckin
And i couldn't agree more snowblind. Good paying freight and comfort are the biggest things I'm looking for. And style is an added plus! I haul heavy oil now and i can't have riders, trucks are small and under powered plus 1 week i make over a grand and am away from home all week, then the next week i could be home every night but make less then a grand. And its not because of the freight. I own my own truck and i can bring whoever i want plus a ton of other advantages. -
Although I dont count the pennies, when making multiple dollars per mile, MPG is always going to be money in yer pocket. No need to blow it out the stacks when not needed IMHO.

I agree. I'll save money where i can because it'll be more money I'm getting. I want to get the diesel freaks adjustable harness since it claims to increase economy by .5-1 mpg and i want to check into the fairing for between the hood and air cleaners. If it helps great if not i like the look of them. Plus whatever other things i can do along the road.
