3406e injector return line

Will need to remove inner fender and become spaghetti man. Passenger side is easier to access IMO. I use an offset open end, the lifting bracket is usually the problem with access. The jam nut could have backed off a little but I would replace oring while you back there. No easy way sorry about. If you a big fellow it's well worth a hundred bucks to let someone else do the dirty work on that part.

 

Replace the whole line. It's worth it. I wonder what happened to those days when I could get my hands everywhere at once on a girl, now they just call me sir.

 

Oops I misread the part of it being the actual line.

 

I usually just use a 1/4" ratchet with a adapter to a 3/8" drive and whatever size that nut is (7/8" IIRC, could be wrong, though). Usually those are soft return lines and I would strongly recommend replacing it since you're already going to have it out.

 

Most o Reilly auto parts do hydraulic hoses, as well as napa, tractor supply, and small hardware if you have one of those close for a Saturday or Sunday fix. 4000 psi is overkill, but it was a good heavy line considering where it is, I wouldn't cut much of a corner on the hose.

 

We use strato-flex on all of ours. Have never had any problems and you can make the lines yourself.
