I have a 2011 t660 and the low beam headlights suck. You can see a little at night but when it's raining at night you might as well forget it. It's dangerous!! I've upgraded the bulb to sylvania silver but still not much better. The high beams are great but when I run them but there's always some prick crying about I have my high beams on. Need help on how to upgrade them and which brand is the best bang for your buck.

There's no aftermarket upgrade for that truck. However you can find an HID kit (ballasts/bulbs/wiring) either from kw with a vin# to a truck equipped from factory or you can get an aftermarket kit.
The housings are the same and also de wiring.
Just make sure you get the right connectors in the kit.

Ok thanks. Where's a good place to start with a good aftermarket HID kit?

I just retrofitted our Pete with these...

I would stay away from the chinese cheap stuff...they will leave you with bulbs out on a regular basis. Yes the price is good, but you're subject to DOT and inspection stations while operating. Spend a little more and get a decent kit and you will be less likely to have problems.

I've been running VLED's HID kits in most of my cars and trucks for years with minimal issues.

    How about some pictures.
if you retrofit make sure you get the most common Hid kit, you'll need to be able to find bulbs at any auto zone nation wide in case they go bad.

Retrofits are sold as conversions to convert your halogen to an HID bulb that's been molded to fit the same base as your halogen. Best thing to do if you decide to retrofit, buy spare bulbs and ballasts from the seller. At least one of each. That way if you have a problem you can fix it on the road and order another spare once you've used the one you had in reserve.

I'll get some pictures when I can, but they look amazing. Our KW has factory HID's, the Pete has ones I retrofitted, they look the same when they're parked side by side as far as color and light output. The pete is in CA with another driver right now, and it's headed to MN soon so I don't know when I'll be able to get a photo, but I'll try.

edit, they don't sell replacement HID Conversion parts at over the counter auto parts stores. They do sell, factory HID bulb replacements, but to utilize this you need to convert your headlight housings to the factory equipped HID versions. Which is needless to say, the most expensive way to get the results you want.

The best part of doing retrofits IMHO is getting hids with them, check the retrofit source on google.
the bulb is a part, whatever bulb is sold by retrofit manufacturer can be purchased from anyone else that has the right bulb for such ballast. They can be rare or very easy to find depending on the part #.
