With the height of a W900B model cab and the way it sits off of the frame it is unlikely that a hood off of a W900A model will fit it.

mbittle 121 simply said short hood to a long hood. I don't see anything about an 'A' hood. Did I miss that? Getting old sucks. I apologize if I have missed it. Thanks for the response on my question of where did I see it before.

There are no length differences between B model hoods, unless he is going to an L model hood.

    Thank you.

Im not sure how much hood length difference there is between the B and L, I would think finding the L model hood to match the flat glass may be more difficult.

Probably would be hard to find one for a good price. Only second hand hoods I see are for curved glass. Probably get one out of 4 states of one of them big junk yards. I think my L hood is 8 or 9" longer than a B. Granted this is memory from a few years back when I measured a bunch of hoods to compare....

I watched a friend extend a 379 out the front to drop a 3412 in it. It worked out real well. He just extended the frame 12"s and moved the axe forward. This was in a heavy haul truck with the weight of the 3412. No problems.
