Anyone know where I might be able to get the rearmost wiring harness (part# K068-4859) that plugs directly into the stop/tail/turn lamps for a KW?
It's short and has the black, flat six prong connector that fits into the same on the harness that runs along the left frame rail.
MHC KW ordered it, but it is not what I have on the tractor. The harness that came in (K068-4869 - supposedly what it rolls over to) is for the sealed box lamps which are usually found on straight trucks.
I finally contacted Grote and they said this harness that came in is wired for the lamps that have the reverse light in the tail lamp itself.
I want to replace that harness (not even use the head of it with the black six-way connector) because it's very possible the problem is near the harness clip since I've rewired all the rest with new pigtails already. It shouldn't be this hard, but after 10 years they aren't required to keep the OEM parts for the KW's. This started several years ago when KW wanted to sell more new trucks and made it harder to keep the older ones running, unfortunately.
I've looked online and haven't found a match for the K068-4859, but might be able to scarf one up at a junk yard (LKQ?) if it's not too old and brittle.
