If you want it to be noticeably different than stock. You better go with the 7's. Or even 8's. I'm just not sure six would be enough difference than the standard five inch pipe, unless you were actually trying to spot it.

I was thinking that. I thought about just doing an 8 inch top stack and keeping the stock shield but I think I would rather have a full solid stack. And I like the looks of 7s or 8s but 8s are a little too rich for what I wanna spend this year. I was thinking a solid straight stack reduced to 5 right at the elbow

If it was me, I would take it 7 until it's no longer visible. I think it looks stupid when you see the reduction point. Can you see the elbow on that w9? If so, consider going a step farther before reducing it.

They are pricey but I agree on keeping the elbows the same size as stacks. Just makes for a much cleaner look, especially on the W9's. With the way the cab and exhaust are designed they kinda stick out like sore thumbs anyway. They don't tuck in neatly like a Pete does.

There are different elbows for the W9's. 2 I think. Has to do with the length of the battery boxes and steps. If you order elbows make sure to order the correct ones if you stay with the factory style elbows. I've seen some done with the Pickket (?) style elbows that looked really good. 7" or bigger would probably look better with those.

I like the look of 6" miter cut better than anything. Wish that's what I had gotten years ago instead of bullhauler turnouts. 7's are cool but just not worth the extra money. 8" is too big. Agree with everyone else on a W900 definitely get matching elbows or it looks half assed. I like the factory style bends better than pickets but that is just a personal preference.

Yeah I definitely need to save some money! So many things I want to do and so little money! Lol. I know paint is in my bucket list as well as louder jakes. Can't hardly hear mine but I also don't want to run straight pipes. Thought about changing my muffler to a Pittsburgh power or something to get a little more sound. And I also don't care for the way the heat shields look which is why I want to run bigger pipes

I had wanted straights on mine for a while but wanted to put matching elbows on. Ended up with my factory passenger side elbow getting thin and holes coming in them. Guess it was from years of heat, they weren't rusty. You could take your finger and poke holes in them at that point.

I ended up getting elbows and pipes from different suppliers off of eBay. Elbows were excellent, new dynaflex units. Pipes evidently were blems with a couple dings but I got them cheap. Got my clamps, top and bottom, from Empire Chrome in west Memphis.

I'm in for around $1,000 for all.

    Steven Jones Thanks this.
