Help!
Need to know what how to over-ride shutdown on T-680
My APU is out of service...bunk heater works but motor wont start---green flashing light on thermo king controller
So when I need to idle....what is the sequence? Idle has 5 min delay shutdown.
Set Brake?
Set Cruise ?
What else????
Thx in advance...

I can't say I know much of what I'm talking about other than the Volvo we used at class. We just hit the cruise button while it was idling and it held.

If you have already tried all that stuff, only thing left to do is take it to dealership and have them turn off the idle restriction in the computer.

Bump the accelerator when it starts to say idle shutdown on the info screen, I have a 2013 T680 and thats how to overide mine, if that doesn't work then your comany may have the truck set not to idle.

On the T680, there's an ambient air temperature sensor... the probe can be seen sticking out of the bottom of the LH mirror assembly.. IF ambient air temperature override is enabled, there are ways to manipulate that (hand warmers, etc).
There isn't one be-all, end-all answer here... it really comes down to a matter of how the truck settings are set by the company. If they don't want you idling that truck, they can disable all the override options. Ambient temperature override is the one most likely to not have been disabled. -
seeing posts like these make me happy I don't drive for the big freight haulers. I can idle mine all day, every day.

Not sure if it's the same as my 14 but turn the knob on the dash and shut the idle level to 0 that's what I did.
