What are the pros and cons of putting governor on a kenworth T600 (or any truck for that matter)?
To governor or not to governor that is the question

Why would you need it governed? It's your truck...
-
-
Keep in inside power band or fuel mi. could go down?
-
Then they get governed so they don't burn all your fuel faster you go more fuel you use. Also helps control speeding tickets
bubbagumpshrimp Thanks this. -
F no don't govern . Just cause my truck can do 80 doesn't mean I drive 80 even in ut and tx where you legally can its nice to have it incase you have to pass someone real quick etc.

So whos driving it?If hes a driver that respects the laws then leave it wide open.If its someone that hasn't drove trk much I would govern it till he can show you hes a good driver.

I have driven many ungoverned trucks and some really castrated ones.
The trucks that are set under about 70 mph get worse mileage....
The worst part is you have to let them lug down so much before dropping a gear on hills...It really sucks.
I had one company truck that was set at 76 mph....It was pretty decent on fuel and you still had plenty to pass most trucks.
With the cruise set on about 72 it would pull pretty good too. -
You will be legal to run Quebec.
Pro or con whichever way you wanna look at it. -
Do you mean speed limiter, all diesels are governed.
